Sometimes after a hot class the last thing we want to do is put more layers on. However in the winter months this step is crucial as we go from one temperature extreme to the next!


Here are 3 reasons why you should bring that sweater to class!


  1. Avoiding Illness: After we sweat it will raise our core body temperature, your body can then become more susceptible to cold air and could weaken the immune system which could lead into catching a cold

  2. Preventing Muscle Tightening: after a hot yoga class your muscles have had the time to release and relax. The sudden temperature change to the cold can increase muscle soreness or stiffness.

  3. Maintaining Circulation: Your body will need to gradually take time to cool down. The shock could constrict blood vessels, affecting circulation and making you feel colder.


Even it you feel sticky and sweaty your body will thank you!
